Built on Montjuïc for the 1929 International Exposition: an entire walled village as the stage for your evening — venue entry included.

For the 1929 International Exposition, the architects of the Poble Espanyol gathered Spain's most beautiful streets, squares and façades inside a single walled enclosure on Montjuïc. Almost a century later it remains one of a kind: a journey across the whole country without leaving Barcelona. By day it is one of the city's most visited corners; by night the grounds turn quiet and idyllic — and that is when the show begins.

Our home inside the Poble is a period mansion: grand rooms, candelabras and portraits that seem to follow you around. There the actors await, the will is read and the first body appears. This is not a hotel function room dressed up for the night — it is the stage where live Cluedo makes sense.
The show is the main course; dinner, if you wish, rounds it off. Font de Prades — the Poble Espanyol's own restaurant — is a short stroll from the mansion, inside the same walls: Catalan menus from €32 (drinks not included) and a welcome cava toast. Crossing the lit-up village between the verdict and dessert is part of the experience.
